This Little Piggy

Today Inwe and her classmates did the "This little piggy went to market, etc." nursery rhyme (but it doesn't rhyme, so there must be a better term). This was a tie in to Dr. Seuss' Foot Book, which they read today for circle time. As part of this whole day, the kids also got to paint the bottom of their toes and put them on a piece of paper. The toe print is cute, and no, I'm not taking a picture.

My point of this is that by the excitement in her voice as she did the ditty for us and for Pop Pop was over the top. It was as if she had never heard us do this to her toes. I know that we did. We don't anymore, and I can't say that I think about doing it for Larien. I haven't done it with Finwe, but she's heard this before.

Perhaps Phill and I are just too erudite to refer to our children's toes as "piggies".
