Louder

Last night I decided to curl up with a good book before going to sleep. As I was reading I heard Inwe's door open. I listened to her feet pad softly down the hall. She stopped at the bathroom. I then heard her feet on the floor of our bedroom. I looked up from my book and looked into the beautiful eyes of my first child.

"Yes?"

"Mommy," she whispered with her hand next to her mouth.

"Yes, Inwe."

"Will you wake me up when you are going to sleep?"

"Yes, just like I did last night." I saw her eyes widen with the realization that she hadn't remembered me coming into her room the night before. She turned to leave the room but stopped.

She leaned forward to give her next statement emphasis, "Say it louder this time. So I can hear you."

I love this child so much that there are moments when I think my heart will burst.

I know what you mean by feeling like your heart may burst. It is such a phsical thing - so powerful at times that it's just unexplainable.

My Inwe, she is just so adorable and I know at least three other people who love her that their cups are running over.

She is so on to you. I think you adore this little puddle munchkin because she is so much yourself! We all tend to be attracted to own better qualities!
