I have so many stories of the girls that I can't tell them to everyone who wants to know them. I decided to start a 'blog' so I can write the stories or sayings of the girls when they happen.
A bit about the title: Inwe and Larien are the girls names in Elvish. Inwe is the eldest; Larien the youngest. The site to find your Elvish name is www.chriswetherell.com/elf/. Try it out. It can be very busy at times, so be patient if you can't reach it at first try.
So, if you have the time, come check out my blog each day to hear more about the girls. I'll get pictures up when I can. Since my digital camera was dropped, I can't promise many pictures.
Here's a Inwe Story: She has a cold right now with a wicked fever, but it was so lovely yesterday afternoon that she had to go outside barefooted. So, she picked daffodils, looked at the radish shoots in the garden, and fed the fish all in bare feet.
Larien Story: Since spending a week at my parents' house, she doesn't want to go to sleep on her own. She got accustomed to being rocked by Mom Mom for nap and bedtime. Well, that doesn't fit my routine here. We tried having her quit the rocking "cold turkey", but that was too painful for everyone. Even the puppy sat at her door and whined. The compromise reached is that I rock her while singing "Morning Town Ride". When that is over, she falls asleep in her bed on her own. When we walk through her door, she says "Rock me, please." Very cute, but I will curse my mother for a little longer.
A Joint Story: My aunt bought the girls a tea set. The two of them play together (Yipee!) in the sunroom without us around. When you ask them what they are doing both respond, "Drinking coffee." (Well, remove the 'drinking' part for Larien.) If I am lucky enough to be allowed in the room, I get to watch them pretend to pour the coffee, add cream and sugar, and place their cups on saucers. I suppose they will both pass that analogy on the SAT years from now.
That's it for now. I'll post when new things happen. It's just us girls for the weekend, so many things could happen that are worth sharing. TTFN
