It's my potty and I can go if I want to

So, Larien has decided that going to the potty is not terrible, not difficult. Yesterday while in the grocery store I asked her if she need to go.

She said, "There's no potty in the grocery store."

"Oh, yes, there is. In the corner there."

"We don't have any M&Ms, Mommy."

"Yes, I brought them in my bag." Her eyes lit up and she sucked in her breath. "Do you want to go?"

"MmmHmm." Larien popped up out of the shopping cart, let me set her on the ground, and ran to the door I had pointed to earlier. "Gotta go potty, Mommy. Gotta go."

She did go. She got M&M's. She managed to go to the potty a few more times yesterday.

This morning she has already stayed dry since 8am and is highly motivated by some unseen force. She doesn't even want M&Ms. She does want me to go at the same time. This is proving interesting.

My mom used M&M's with me, too! I hope the rest of the day is as good as your morning has been!

Well, it can be a little bit of indepenence for her - something she can do by herself.
