Surely you remember the Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper dresses that I bought the girls for Halloween. If you don't, take a short trip down memory lane with these entries:

There are many more entries regarding the dresses, but I'm just giving you the highlights.
So, what has happened to the gowns? Inwe's blue one has three holes in the skirt. That came from riding her scooter in the dress. Larien's has numerous stains from indelible ink and these really cool, but terribly messy slickable crayons.
Amazingly, the girls don't wear their gowns every night anymore. They still wear them for night gowns and really do enjoy the weekend days when they get to wear them all day. I'm quite grateful that the mystique has worn off, but that both Inwe and Larien appreciate these dresses.

I am SO with you on the 'princess gowns'! My two girls (ages 3ys 5mos and 2ys 1mo) put on theirs atleast once a day. Both have holes in them but they are getting new ones for Christmas - maybe that's a good idea or is it just going to be another reason to not put on regular clothes??
