It's true. The box that the present arrived in is just as fun and interesting as the present itself. Exhibit A: Inwe lounging in the box while talking to Pop Pop while Larien climbs into the box trying to bother Inwe.I have been given strict orders from Inwe not to throw the box away. "I need to keep it," she states. "For what?" I ask. "I need to keep toys in it," is her reply. And, true to her word, there are toys in the box. When she wants to earn some coins she picks up the sunroom/playroom, and the toys go in the box. Do I have a three tiered toy sorter in the room? Yes. Is there another toy box in the room? Yes. The existence of these two toy receptacles in the room do not negate the need for the large box.

What was in The Box?
Wow. Makes me almost wish we had kept this big box that I could have fit into. But that would have been silly seeing that Isabelle is only 3 months old :)
Boxes are fabulous. The box was officially just inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame. Did you see that article? I loved it.
To answer a few questions posted:
I believe that the light up Cinderella carriage came in the box. Or maybe it was the rolling luggage you sent, Mav.
Did I see the article about the box inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame? No, I heard about it on NPR All Things Considered.
Interestingly enough, the parent cannot choose the box. For the box to be an enduring toy the child must be the one who does the selection. After we bought a new dishwasher, Phill and I tried to convert that into a play house for the girls. Didn't work. They didn't want it.
