Got Any Tips for Hair?

Both Larien and Inwe would prefer it if I did nothing to their hair at all. They tolerate the shampoo process every other night, but brushing afterwards is a trial. Yes, I use detangle spray. I'm as gentle as I can be and only use the "hard" brush for a super tangle.

The next difficult task is to pull their hair back into an elastic so it stays out of their faces. Inwe will allow her hair to be styled some days. She actually requests dog ears and ponytails at times. Larien, no way. She likes it shaggy and untouched.

Anybody got tips? Bribery ideas? I'm open to whatever.

My mom used threats (“I’m going to cut it all off if you don’t let me brush it). It didn’t work. Finally when I was in the third grade, she made me cut it all off and I was called ‘crew-cut’ for the rest of the school year. I can’t recommend that approach.

I use games with A. I blow dry and let her brush. The ‘game’ is for her to try to get it as smooth as possible. Your girls might not be old enough for that yet.

My dad used a distraction technique. He had a little blow dryer and let me blow dry a dolls hair, while he did my hair.
