We celebrated Inwe's fourth birthday today with a homemade cake. She wanted pink and purple so I made the top pink and purple. It's not that pretty, but she was so appreciative that I made it to order. Afterwards, she opened her presents.

These are just a few of the gifts. The Princess lunchbox was much appreciated. It's metal, like the ones we parents used to have. This replaces a plastic lunchbox that we got from the National Zoo. The White Dragon had chewed a corner of it, and it didn't hold much.

Pop Pop and Mom Mom got Inwe a Cinderella doll that lights up and the horse and carriage that she can ride in. The carriage lights up as well. It's really cute. See Larien in the background? She was so great and patient about the present opening.

Aunt Maverick gave her a rolling suitcase with a toiletry bag and a second bag inside. After opening presents, she loaded the toiletry bag with her toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hairbrush. She decided that the second bag was for her dance clothes, and she proceeded to put her leotard, tights, and ballet shoes in that bag. Here she poses with her Harry Potter Gryffindor House scarf from Aunt Maverick. She had no trouble figuring out what it was. And, she looks so much older than four in this photo.

She liked her other gifts as well and tried to play with all the games, toys, and puzzles at least once. She only tried on one outfit--a new leotard with a tutu, but she loved the tartan dress and the shirt. She'll get to everything in her own time. She always does. She leaves no stone untuned and no gift untouched.
