It's a good thing

Sometimes Mommy does a very good thing. Today was one of those days. Well, today I saw the result of one of those days. Inwe had asked for an Erika costume from a Barbie movie, Princess and the Pauper. I looked at patterns one day, priced the cloth and accessories and realized that I could order one using the web that would cost the same amount even with shipping. So, I ordered the costume. Today it came when Inwe was awake from nap, but Larien was still asleep. Inwe saw the package and asked what it was. I honestly didn't remember what it was and said so. When I opened it I exclaimed, "Oh, Inwe, this is for you. Come over here." She saw that it was the Erika costume and immediately put it on. "Oh, Mommy, this is wonderful. Can I sleep in it?" My answer was yes. She's asleep in it now. One of the reasons she was so excited was that she has seen Larien get all these birthday presents recently. It was obviously really nice for her to get something completely her own in the midst of all this. She also had to call my parents to tell them about it, and she attempted to call her other Grandma to tell her. I feel like I did a good job. And, I have now found a pink Barbie Annelies gown in Larien's size. She'll be excited when she sees that.
