I ask that question wondering if you were the one who dreaded the day or if you were like Inwe, not able to sleep the night before and waking up very early?
Yes, today was Inwe's first day back at her preschool after a summer with Mommy and Larien. She was so excited that despite not being able to fall asleep last night she woke up at 6:15am. This was not to Mommy's and Daddy's liking as they were up until nearly midnight watching the Miami v. FSU game. She was eager to get dressed, get her hair brushed and styled, and to brush her teeth. I think she must have bothered Daddy 5 times about when it was going to be time to leave. "Daddy, are you sure you remember where the school is?" was one of the many questions that she asked this morning.
What about Larien? Well, I took her to the gym with me even though what consists of a workout for me is walking very slowly on a treadmill. The gym's "Kid Zone" has classes for different ages that range from movement classes, music, rock climbing (for kids of course), and other learning classes. One was starting right as we walked in, so Larien got to go to "class" as well. While it is hard for me to do too much activity right now, I'm going to make it a habit for the next three weeks to get Larien to the kid zone so she has some interaction and doesn't miss Inwe.
I'll post later on Inwe's reaction to her first day of school.
