I'm sure I have told you how much Inwe likes to color. Instead of relying on coloring books only, we print pictures from web sites for variety. Phill discovered a fantasy page on one of the websites that has dragons, fairies, castles, etc. Inwe wanted a silly looking sprite, and I decided to join her coloring that day with the fairy riding this dragon. I printed one out for Inwe as well that she eventually got around to coloring weeks later. My fairy has the purple dress. Inwe's is the picture with the weird purple shape on it. Did I mention that she will be turning 4 in December? Did you color this well when you were nearly 4 years of age? I don't think I did. The parts of her coloring that amaze me are: 1. Her conception of symmetry in the wings; 2. Her use of contrasting colors; 3. Her independence from my coloring choices. She's seen this drawing up on the wall for weeks, yet she did not choose to copy it. She chose her own path. What a girl. What a girl.
