School was Great

That's what Inwe says. Her schoolmates were glad to see her, and she was happy to see them. She likes her teacher, Miss C. Today they made cookies with chocolate chips in them, and they got to see the chocolate melt. At least that is what Inwe tells me. If you want to see her preschool, just click on the word.

Phill said Inwe stood behind his legs for a bit, but quickly warmed up. As opposed to last year, there were no tears or drawn out farewells. And, she came right home and wanted to do a reading lesson. Today she read a two sentence story (This cat is sick. This cat is sad.). She's really wonderful.

So, what am I doing with Larien? We are going to tackle a letter each day. She knows most of them, but we are going to introduct the idea that words start with letters. Like apple starts with A, etc. She already wants to draw an A. I'll also do art projects with her--like cutting paper and working on colors (she knows those already, too, but I have to do something with her!). I so wish I could find a mom or two who would hire a private teacher like my friend TWA Pilot and I did for Inwe, Cirdan, and Findarato. That was just awesome for everyone! Alas, I'm on my own with Larien. She'll like the extra attention any way.
