Inwe saw a craft project on the Disney Channel that she wanted to try. It was the princess purse. So I bought the necessary supplies from Michael's and went to it before nap yesterday. She won't let me take a picture as it isn't finished. Larien got to make one as well and is quite happy with it. And, it isn't like they don't have other purses, but this one is special apparently.
Larien threw a fit in the grocery store today. Tears and snot everywhere for half the store. Why? She didn't get to ride in the cart that looked like a car. No, I wasn't being a mean mommy; she wouldn't put a belt on, so I put her in a regular cart. You would have thought I beat her. What made her stop crying? Allowing her to get out of the cart and walk with me. At one point she said she wouldn't come with me. I said, "Okay, bye." I heard a woman snicker near me at that. Not a second later Larien was by my side walking with me. She then got very excited about putting the groceries in the cart. She had another fit at the self checkout, but the monitor felt sorry for me and picked up Larien while I completed my transaction. What a fun way to start a morning.
Getting Inwe to sleep last night was a challenge. She knew that Phill was leaving today for a meeting in Canada. She came downstairs every 20 mintues inventing a new reason why she couldn't sleep. Here are the reasons:
- I'm hungry.
- I'm thirsty.
- I can hear cars making lots of noise.
- The moths outside are making too much noise. I can hear their wings beating (insert vibrating hand motions here).
- Daddy, I'm going to miss you and that will keep me from sleeping.
My favorite reason is being able to hear the moths outside her window. I just loved that.
