No, I did not just make a typographical error. I spelled the title the way Larien says 'tornado'. Why was she saying tormado? Yesterday evening a band of thunderstorms passed through here. The strong winds whipped up a plastic table and tossed it across our street. The girls saw this happen.
In my protective mommie mode I decided to tell the girls what to do if they heard a train coming too close to our house, which is what I have always been told to listen for if a tornado is around. I told them to go to the bathroom as it is the only room in our house without windows.
This had the effect of scaring poor Inwe to the point that she nearly hyperventilated.
If this were Kuky, I'd label this as a silly parent moment.

I had a similar reaction from Rosie when we talked about this. We've been through several bouts of severe weather since our first discussion and she's much better about it now.
