Spot Removal

This isn't about a stain in clothes, although heaven knows we have plenty of those types of spots in this house. This post is regarding these spots:
This is Tinea Versicolor. You can learn fully about it here. This is Larien's torso. These white patches, which are bleached by the yeast in her skin, are all over her. From her neck to her elbows to her knees. Why she has this I don't know, but it appears that her skin is prone to this type of yeast infection. Tinea Versicolor isn't serious; in fact, it is cosmetic.

How are we going to remove these spots? A lotion containing 2.5% of selenium. The course of treatment is to apply the lotion for half an hour each day for seven days. She's going to love taking a bath everyday. The swim lessons have had a secondary effect of making Larien desire playing in any amount of water. After the initial week of treatment I'll apply the lotion once a month for the next three months.

To get her skin tone even will probably take a longer time. I'll have to let her run around nekkid in the sun. She'll love that. Problem is that Inwe will want to join her. Phill won't be pleased.
