Inwe didn't bring her lunch to school today, so I had Larien put together a picnic basket. She chose yogurt, peaches, string cheese, and crackers.
We picked Inwe up from preschool and headed to a city park. There we ate (Finwe sat and gnawed on a cracker and toys) and talked about the morning. Once we were through, the girls headed to the playground.
Do you remember the merry-go-rounds at the park? I guess that is what they are called. You know, those round toys with bars to hold on to while a person on the outside pushes the circle while running? This park has a small one, and the kids loved playing on it. I was impressed with the manners of the children and how everyone listened when someone asked to get off or to get on the toy. Larien just rode, but Inwe did some pushing.
After an hour of playing I had two sweaty girls and one sleepy baby. I would have stayed longer, but Finwe wouldn't nurse with all the kids around. He wanted to look at everything instead of eating. So, we ended the outing with ice cream cones and a nap.

How lovely that all sounds!
I remember those rides. I even remember falling off of it when my sister pushed the ride too fast for my grip. I wonder how I would fair today on that ride.
