What a lovely evening we had. The skies were beginning to cloud, the wind was gently blowing, and the temperature was perfect for being barefoot. The intention was to swing, but the call of the moving vehicles was too strong. We dragged out Inwe's bicycle, Larien's tricycle, the extra tricycle, and the scooter. Around and around the girls went. Idril joined us with her brother Cirdan. MaddJones, their mom and our neighbor, joined us.
We talked, corralled kids, and held babies. We also talked about the superiority of the new digital camera. The instantaneous shutter makes it so wonderful. No more waiting for the shutter to open and missing the cute baby shot or the great action shot. So incredibly awesome is this camera. I love my parents.
Larien has gotten very good at pedalling. She had such a hard time when she first got the tricycle. We had to push her all the time. Now, I only need to push her when she's going uphill or has turned the wheel to the right or left too much.

I also remember when Idril really wanted to hop on the scooter, but she wasn't coordinated enough. She would fall down and cry. Now, she has the balance and coordination to stand with one foot and push with the other. Larien hasn't figured out that part yet. It will be fun to watch her progress to that stage.
We also played basketball with them. Well, Hustle did once he was through positioning the sprinklers for the new grass. Poor White Dragon isn't allowed over in their yard until the grass is strong enough for three dogs tromping on it.
I'm taking care of the MaddJones/Hustle dogs this weekend, so I'll bring them over here and let them tromp on our grass/weed/dirt mixture. It might keep White Dragon from digging for moles and mice.
