My parents have a poodle that we affectionately call Black Dog. Inwe gave him that name when she was quite small. He has a real name, but he'll be Black Dog for the blog. This poodle is a very finicky eater. To get him to eat, one must feed him by hand. He rarely eats dog food; he prefers jerky, bits of cheese, chicken, bacon, etc. My father has devised many ways of getting Black Dog to eat. One of the ways his by putting the jerky in his mouth and letting Black Dog take it from there.
Guess who saw PopPop do this and then wanted to try it herself?
Inwe.
Did she do it?
Yes, multiple times. Black Dog seemed to enjoy taking the jerky from Inwe this method.
When PopPop asked her how it felt, she replied, "It was wet and fuzzy. It felt funny. I'm going to do it again."
Inwe really bonds with PopPop. Both mornings we've been here, she has popped out of bed, gotten dressed, just so she could walk Black Dog with PopPop.

This is the type of story that will be cherished by your children long after their grandparents are gone. Be sure to remember this and to share as they get older.
I think I will try that trick with Divot. Yeah right! LOL
