Redecorating for Boy George and Larien

I'm taking advantage of Grandmom being at our house to make new curtains for Larien's soon-to-be room and a new door curtain for Boy George's room when Larien vacates it. Fabric shopping was quite a bit of fun. The boy fabric was easy, and the pattern for that curtain was easy so it is already complete.

Choosing the fabric for Larien's room was a bit more difficult as Phill really doesn't want me to change the wall color. Purple is Larien's favorite color (yes, she really does already have a favorite color), so I wanted to choose something with purple in it. I like the fabric and so does Phill. Those will take a bit longer as it is four panels, not just the one for Boy George's room. I'll cut the lining while the girls are napping and start sewing. If I get them finished later tonight or tomorrow morning, I can get Grandmom to hem them by hand. She really does enjoy hemming them by hand, and curtains do look better hemmed by hand.

Of course, Inwe asked, "Do I get new curtains?" The answer is no, but we'll get some new wall decorations for her room as the walls are kind of bare. She only sleeps in her room (my girls are not play in their bedroom children), so being a super fun place isn't necessary. That's the purpose of the sunroom/not originally meant to be a playroom.
