Today was the day for Inwe's ballet class. It's actually called Pre-Ballet for 3-5 year olds. And, from the sizes of the 6 girls who came to class this evening, they are all about Inwe's age (3 1/2). This dance studio is literally around the corner from our house so the girls loaded up in the double stroller loaned to us by TWA Pilot and TopDirtyDog.
Inwe was dressed in a light green jumper with her pink tights on with sandals. I had checked out a book called "My Ballet Class" from the library to get Inwe prepared for what would happen in class. In this book, the girl changes into her clothes at the dance studio--so therefore, Inwe had to do this as well.
She told us after the class what they did. (Try to think of this with actions and in a non-stop voice.) "We put our feet like this and did a plie and then we jumped around the room like this and we hopped on one foot and then the other and I put my arms above my head like this and that was all." Then she had to call Maverick, Mom Mom, and Pop Pop to tell them all about the class. When Mom Mom wasn't home she made Pop Pop promise to have her call when Mom Mom got home from work.
And, lastly, many of you know that I struggle to get my girls to eat any amount of meat. Well, this evening Inwe asked for more chicken. Yippee for ballet class!

Do they go to that old church by the house for lessons ? I love that building and the adaptive reuse.
