Larien is in the repeating stage of language development. She repeats everything, postively everything. Picking her up out of her crib earlier today I flipped the blanket over her head. I said, "Oops, the blanket is over your head." Taking a moment to digest what she had heard, Larien then repeated, "Blanket over my head," for the next 15 minutes.
Since she is in this stage, Inwe and I sing the ABC song all the time. Larien knows most of her letters by sight. This is thanks to the Chicka Chick Boom Boom book as well as some Golden Book called Baby ABC . She does get a few confused, such as U and V and the lowercase f and t. We do catch her singing bits of the ABC song, and I promise to let you know when she first sings the entire song.
