Our Saturday had us all in different places for the lunchtime hour.
Phill and Inwe went to her preschool picnic. I can only give you sketchy details. I will really have to teach Phill to give more detailed accounts of his time with Megan. The picnic at a teacher's house involved food (we brought watermelon), a kiddie pool, a bubble station, face painting, and general running around being kids. My friend TWA Pilot called me to tell me that she didn't think Phill was having a good time, but he told me differently. Inwe came home with a dog face. After nap she did tricks for treats. I literally told her to sit, speak, lay down. When she did this I would give her a grape. The funny part was Ursa doing the obedience commands with her.
Larien was home with T, our absolutely, positively wonderful babysitter. I left the two of them playing chase around the downstairs. Larien really likes T. One day when T's dad picked her up from our house, Larien had a super meltdown yelling, "T. T. T." To me, that 's a great sign when your children miss their babysitter.
Where was I? Why wasn't I doing the traditional mom duty of going to school functions? One, I think Phill needs to do these things at times. Two, I was with Ursa at her agility training class. She and 5 other puppies are learning to jump, go through, tunnels, and walk on a plank up in the air. She's pretty good at it, and it makes her a better behaved puppy. Not to mention that she sleeps for three hours after the hour long class. That's the saying, "A tired puppy is a good puppy!"
In the evening after dinner, the girls got a freezer pop and ate them on the swing. Then it was bath, books, and bed.
