Social Butterflies

We had a party on Sunday; an afternoon barbeque. I was a bit worried about how the gilrs would react to a large group of people that they didn't know. They had only met two of the guests. Plus, it was after nap, a normally tenuous time if the stars aren't aligned.

However, I have discovered that my daughters can be social butterflies. Both of them showed guests around the house pointing out their favorite toys, special places to sit, and favorite spots in the yard. Larien held hands with numerous guests saying "Fish", leading them to the fish pond each time. Inwe befriended the wife of a fellow who works with Phill, inviting her to sit with her for dinner.

It was one of those moments when I was very proud of my daughters. Such lovely creatures.

The Singer

Inwe loves to sing. She makes up songs about everything. Lately, though, she's been into singing songs that she has learned in school. Here are the words to one she sings us at least once a day.

Good Morning to You.
Good Morning Everyone.
Good Morning to You.
Potatoes have eyes, but they do not see.
Sunflowers have heads, but they do not think.
So we use our eyes,
And we use our heads
For we come to school
So we can be wise.

Wise means smart and trying our best.
