This was one of those lovely, uneventful days. No cute stories. A total lack of completely frustrated moments. Just a normal day here.
Add a few more words to Larien's vocabulary. My list neglected to include: funny, push, driving (as in the grocery cart), digging (as in Ursa's second favorite activity, jumping in the fish pond being the first), and computer (which really sounds like 'puter, but I bet you would all know what she was saying if she was next to you). Oh, one more--radish. We planted some seeds about a month ago in our garden and now Larien likes to watch me pull them out of the ground.
The Strawberry Harvest has begun. The first few days there weren't enough berries to share with the birds and the bunnies. However, since Thursday the humans are winning. Inwe and Larien each have a basket for picking the berries. Larien eats about half of what she picks. Inwe waits until the berries are washed and capped. I also wait until the berries are washed and capped. We eat them plain, on ice cream, with yogurt and cereal currently. Soon we'll have so many that I'll buy shortcake and whipped cream. Last year Phill and I had a strawberry shake every night. Give us another week and we'll be doing that again. Too bad I can't ship some of these out!
Want to guess the gender of baby number three?
This Thursday, May 19th, I will have an ultrasound performed to assess size and health of the little kicker inside me. Inwe's vote is for a boy. "I already have a sister." I'm comfortable with girls, so another one would be okay with me. Phill just wants a healthy, term baby. What's your guess? Just click on comments at the bottom of the post and let me know what you want or what you guess is. I promise to update the blog on Thursday to let everyone know. Yes, I'll actually call my mom and dad and probably Maverick (aka my sister) as well. Hopefully, I will manage to get a photo up as well.
