Larien asked me today if she could sit on the potty. I said yes, helped her pull her pants down and remove her diaper.
She sat down. And, she sat.
And sat.
And sat.
And sat.
"Larien, did you go pee pee?"
"No."
"Do you want to get up?"
"No. Shut the door." So, I shut the door and came back 30 seconds later. (A two year old in a bathroom by herself is not a good thing.)
"Did you go poopie?" Not that I had to ask; the smell was obvious with the door closed.
"Wipe my hiney. Wipe my hiney."
Well, we had a potty party! There was lots of joyous noise. Inwe gave her a high five. I gave her a hug. The White Dragon gave her a lick. Daddy yipeed over the phone.
"Bye Bye poopie," said Larien as she flushed it down the toilet. A grown woman should not get this excited about poop, but I did, and I still am happy that I did not have to change a stinky diaper.

Yes a grown woman with 3 children SHOULD get this excited about poop. This excitement is part of the evolutionary cycle.
As a part-time Godmother and an Aunt, I too am excited about poop WHEN IT FALLS INTO A TOILET.
I also think elderly people are exited about poop in much the same way....
she learned the word hiney without the influence of uncle markie? it took A a few hours with him before she learned it. :)
