It's time to harvest the plums from two of our four plum trees. Phill and I sprayed ourselves and the girls with bug repellant, gathered the baskets and empty plastic toy bins, and headed out to the loaded plum trees. Phill climbed a ladder, Inwe climbed on a chair, and Larien and I scavenged the ground for the ripe plums. I ordered a canning kit as we hope to make plum jam this year. The plum cobbler turned out a wee bit too tart. We are going to try plum sauce for the traditional Independence Day ribs.
