This weekend we had a visitor from Adelaide, Australia. Dr. F is a collaborator (not as in conspiracy) with Phill on his research. She decided to make a stop here on her way to Copenhagen for a research conference. Inwe was prepared to meet Dr. F as Phill had prepared her for the visit. How did my girls react? Like they were meeting an old friend.
Inwe and Larien never displayed any shyness. Both just launched themselves at her. Inwe told her about the flu shot she had just gotten; Larien had her drawing trains. When we had gotten back from dinner on Saturday night, Inwe firmly announced that "you three have been together a long time. I want some time with Dr. F."
The girls talked about all things that they knew were Australian: kangaroos, kookaburras, wombats, koalas, and The Wiggles.
Inwe was sad to see Dr. F leave today. She told Dr. F to come back when she could.

Kudos to you & Phil for encouraging them to be friendly and good little hosts. Kudos for the girls for doing this.
