Inwe has a Play Date

The play date that was to have been in October finally happened. The original plan was for Tobias' mom to take the kids to her house, but Inwe wasn't comfortable and backed out at the last minute. The parents finally found a time when I could bring Tobias home with us. Today was the day.

I picked Inwe and Tobias up from preschool with both of them chatting either to each other or to me the entire time. It was quite entertaining. Add Larien's voice saying, "Bias sitting in the back with Inwe," and the atmosphere was really festive. For once, Finwe wasn't wailing from his infant seat. Having four kid car seats in the van really shows its worth to a mom.

Lunch was sliced pears, pizza and cupcakes. Finwe stayed with me while the other three went upstairs before the pizza was through cooking. Lunch was fun--it ended up being a competition to see which kid could eat the fastest. The winner was Inwe. Larien was the messiest, and Tobias was the politest. After lunch all three kids went to the sunroom to play.

Larien followed Tobias around like a puppy. At one point I heard Tobias say, "Stop. Please stop touching me." I found Larien hugging Tobias.

The two hours was a success and Inwe decided that she would go to Tobias' house next time.
