Inwe's teacher asked me if Inwe is a perfectionist. My initial look must have been one of horror as she quickly recanted, saying, "Well, a good attention to detail, at least? I ask because we made stoplight toast today with some of the leftover frosting from the Halloween party. All the other kids were just slapping on the frosting and throwing the colored M&M's on the toast while Inwe was very carefully applying the frosting and placing the M&M's on the toast."
My reply was that she does have an attention to detail (remember that fairy riding the dragon coloring?) but isn't too much of a perfectionist. I countered that neither Phill nor me are perfectionists, and that we certainly don't foster that kind of tendency. I have a feeling that this is Inwe's slight bit of complusiveness showing up. I really hope she's not turning into a perfectionist. If she is, she's going to have a hard time with her mommy.
