Shopping with the Girls

Inwe and Larien had stashed away all the change they could find in the house and found that with the addition of the dollars sent to them by Auntie J it was time to go shopping. I let Phill do the honors again as he is over his cold and I am currently in the midst of misery. Inwe had already planned what she was going to buy. She remembered that we had put candy canes on the Christmas trees last year and was quite concerned that we didn't have any to put on the tree this year. So, she bought two boxes of large candy canes along with some snowman-shaped peeps.

Larien had, at first, decided on buying her own candy canes, but then spied a Care Bear ornament. The boxes of candy canes were abandoned for the ornament at $4.99. Luckily, Inwe shared a candy cane with her and at least one peep.

Thank you, Auntie J. The girls really enjoy going shopping to spend their own money. I think they like the lack of mommy control over their purchases.

All my company has left. We really hada good time. There were 10 people in this little house and somehow we all slept comfortablely. We had a good time and much to eat. Tell the girls what we did and expand a little from what you know about our house and location. I am glad the girls like their shopping trips. It is sweet that they plan out what they will buy. Mama sang happy birthday to me perfectly. Elaine and I could not believe it. We are leaving for Branson, Missouri Monday early a.m. Weathers checks indicate very cold up there.
