Today was Inwe's ballet class. As Inwe was getting dressed, I was struggling to divest Larien of the ever present princess dress when an idea came upon me. "Larien, do you want to get dressed up like Inwe? Do you want to wear ballet clothes?"
"Mmhm," she replied and began taking off the dress. I put on an extra set of tights and a leotard. We had to search for a skirt that looked enough like Inwe's. This pink one is what Larien decided was good enough. Larien's shoes are slippers that Mom Mom bought Inwe.
The hardest part of the evening was explaining to Larien that she was too young to go to Inwe's class. Another teacher felt bad for Larien and let her come into the bigger studio to dance in front of the mirror as her students were warming up. Larien tried to curtsy as she said, "Thank you for the ballet."
