Make Halloween a Whole Weekend

Saturday: Go to totally over crowded safe Halloween festival run by parks and rec department. The girls were quite happy to get to wear their dresses (those that they have been wearing since September) in public despite the overwhelming crowds and ridiculous amount of noise. Do we really need a hip hop station and a country station blaring music at the same time? Want to see pictures of a Halloween party that was probably really appreciated by kids? Take a look at the Eye of the Storm blog, which covers southern Mississippi.

Sunday: Inwe dresses up as ballerina while Larien continues to wear the dress from Saturday. Evening activity includes drawing on and carving up pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns. We had a lighting ceremony as well on the front steps. However, no photos were taken as my hands were full of a certain baby bull. After pulling off the dress from Larien causing a half hour ruckus, I made sugar cookie dough for Inwe's school Halloween party.

Monday: Inwe has Halloween party at school. There will be fun, food, and games, but no costumes. This is a smart move on the teacher's part as she doesn't have to worry about kids wanting to change clothes or ruining costumes at recess time.

Later on Monday we will join TWA Pilot, Top Dirty Dog, Cirdan, and Findarato for pizza and trick or treating. I will get pictures or TWA Pilot will.
