My dad loved Inwe very much. At first it was just because she was his first grandchild, but then Inwe began to interact with him and the love affair was off and running. Inwe really loved her PopPop and frequently only had eyes for him.
This picture was taken when Inwe was just a few days old--maybe 5 or 7. We were all a bit bleary eyed. Mom and Dad would take Inwe after I had struggled to get her to nurse so I could sleep. Sometimes they would get her to sleep and then fall asleep right next to her.

Yes he loved her very much. And one of the best Christmas presents you ever gave Daddy and Momma was on Christmas morning was giving Megan to them in the morning. They both loved that present.
What a terrific present! I guess I didn't know about the timing...
